MAIN STAGE PRODUCTIONS

Dear Artists:
Thank you for inquiring about the 2011 National Black Theatre Festival®™ (NBTF) to be held August 1 -August 6, 2011. Below is information on how to submit materials for the various performance components of the Festival. Please be aware of all deadline dates because they differ for each component.

2011 NBTF SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

DEADLINE FOR MAIN STAGE SUBMISSIONS: JANUARY 26, 2011 at 5 p.m. in NBTF Office.
All main-stage productions submitted must be mounted by October 2010.
In order for NBTF to notify you promptly, each submission package must include the following:

*A formal letter of introduction clearly stating the following:

Name of Production/Theatre company, address, city, state, zip, office numbers (phone/fax), website.

Producer’s Name, address, city, state, zip, phone numbers (home, office, cell), email

Writer’s Name, address, city, state, zip, phone numbers (home, office, cell), email

Director’s Name, address, city, state, zip, phone numbers (home, office, cell), email

*A VHS or DVD of the complete play submitted to NBTF office.

*Play synopsis

*Printed reviews of play. Identify the publication (s). Send copies only.

*Identify celebrity performers.

We also advise you invite an NBTF representatives to see your production.
