MAINSTAGE PRODUCTIONS


Dear Artists:

Thank you for inquiring about Mainstage productions for the 2013 National Black Theatre
Festival® (NBTF) to be held July 29 - August 3, 2013 in Winston-Salem, NC.

Below is information regarding the submission guidelines for the Mainstage productions. Please
be aware of all deadline dates as they differ for each component.

DEADLINE:  Mainstage submissions must be received by January 31, 2013 at 5:00pm.

All mainstage productions submitted must be mounted by December 2012.

In order for NBTF to notify you promptly, each submission package must include the following:

A formal letter of introduction clearly stating the following:
-  Name of company, address, city, state, zip code, office numbers (phone/fax), website.
-  Producer’s name, address, city, state, zip code, phone numbers (home, office, cell), e-mail
-  Writer’s name, address, city, state, zip code, phone numbers (home, office, cell), e-mail
-  Director’s name, address, city, state, zip code, phone numbers (home, office, cell), e-mail
A DVD of the complete play
Play synopsis
Printed reviews of play. Identify the publication(s). Send copies only.
Identify celebrity performers.
A $25.00 submission fee to cover administrative expenses.

We encourage you to invite a Festival representative to see your production.

NBTF FRINGE


Dear Artists:

Thank you for inquiring about the NBTF Fringe, a component of the 2013 National Black Theatre
Festival® (NBTF) to be held July 29 - August 3, 2013 in Winston-Salem, NC.

The Festival spotlight shines bright on the most professional collegiate theatre productions from
around the world. NBTF Fringe is primarily a performance showcase for college and university
students. It affords theatre companies and theatrical student organizations affiliated with
accredited junior or senior colleges in the United States and in other countries an opportunity to
perform one-act or full-length productions of new and contemporary works as well as
productions of Black classics.
